Awards 2008

The Festival features two sections, In Competition and Out of Competition.

The Jury awarded the following 7 prizes to films participating in the competition section:

1. First Prize for Best Feature-length Documentary (over 30')

    How to dare you?/ By Uri Shin and Lizka Assa (Israel) 

2. First Prize for Best Short Documentary (less than 30')

    Breadmakers / By Yasmin Fedda (Scotland)

3. Second Prize for Best Feature-length Documentary (over 30')

    Please Listen to me / By Marianna Economou (Greece)

4. Second Prize for Best Short Documentary (less than 30')

     The Italian doctor / By Esben Hansen (Denmark)

5. Prize for originality and innovative direction

    My dream / By Wang Hong Hai (China) 

6. First Special Jury Prize

    I was born when I was sixteen / By Eric Bitoun (France) 

7. Second Special Jury Prize

    Severing the soul / By Barbara Klutinis (USA) 

All prizes carry a cash award of €10,000 which will be shared equally by producer and director.

Thirty one films were included in the In Competion Section and competed for the cash awards. The following films were  in the Out of Competition Section:
